Crisis call

FATHER ABSOLVED ME. NO COMMENTS. NO CONDITIONS. JUST TRUST IN GOD. THIS PATH OF THORNS LEADS INTO THE LIGHT.

⭐"Those who truly understand what it means to trust in Christ's death on the cross to pay for their sins understand how destructive their sins truly are. After all, our sins were the reason we stood condemned to die by the curse of the law. That's why Paul writes that those who belong to Christ gave up trying to defeat their sin on their own. Instead, with gratitude, we performed a kind an execution of our sinful desires when we trusted Christ to die for them. We gave up the right to keep holding on to our sin and indulging in it and enjoying it.
‼️There's a fine line here, though. In most cases, those who trust in Christ do not immediately and completely lose our desire or instinct to do sinful things. The "want" to sin is not entirely gone. Paul has written, though, that two significant things do change when we are saved. First, by definition, we recognize that sin is eternally fatal. By trusting in Christ [Who is Life, and specially our Life], we reject sin as a path leading to death. Second, God gives us the power in His Spirit to win the battle against our sinful desires (Galatians 5:16–17).
We may sometimes still give in to our desire to sin, but Christians are no longer people controlled by our sin. We have agreed sin is worthless, and we have declared, in Christ, our intention to move, with Him, away from sin using God's power."

"The great and first commandment in all of Scripture is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind. God wants His people first and above all to love Him with every part of their being. The heart and soul and mind may describe the centers of emotion, action, and thought. The point of the command is not to separate them, though, but to join them together with every aspect of a person fully committed to loving God. A pure, uninterrupted commitment to God and His will is the very basis of a proper relationship with Him.
‼️I'M NOT DOING THIS. I'm not loving Him with ALL my emotions! Or my actions! Or my thoughts! And to do that is RADICAL. It means loving God WITH MY PANIC. It means loving God with my purchases, and coping skills, and travel choices. It means loving God with my meal planning and ruminations and daydreams.
⭐"God's highest priority for His people is to be fully and completely loved by them without holding anything back. Every other act of belief, faith, or obedience depends on this single fundamental idea."
That is so ineffably beautiful. It's literally ALL LOVE. But specifically its love in RESPONSE to Love, and enabled BY that Love! It's RELATIONSHIP! God doesn't want servants, He wants CHILDREN and SPOUSES. He wants FAMILY.

❤"[The] entire law and all the prophecies from God are designed, ultimately, to motivate and enforce love for God and love for other people. Put another way, God's greatest desire for any human being is that he or she love God and love others. Everything else we ever think about God, believe about God, say to God, or do for God, must be motivated by this core impulse [of] loving God and loving others. Ultimately, all the rules and directives in the Law flow from [these] ideas...of just and kind treatment... [which is] what God truly wants from His people."
THIS IS THE MORALITY LITMUS TEST.
